From Campagna Grande Sommese, passing the Ipposidra, historic horse railroad designed by Carlo Cattaneo, the route descends to the canals to the Ticino’s
most attractive single track path, which it follows in its entirety, in direct contact with the Blue River through the woods along the Lombard side of the Ticino Park.
The return route from Brughiera is along Piste dei Tedeschi, a link road used by aeroplanes during World War Two.
