Campo Dei Fiori

The centre of Varese province with its provincial capital Varese, the garden city, and its most important village, the UNESCO site Sacromonte. Mount Campo dei Fiori dominates an area made up of the forests of the same name. At its foot is Varese Lake with its splendid cycle track which circuits the lake in its entirety. Its banks feature Isolino Virginia, a further UNESCO site for its stilt-house settlements, some of the most famous and important in the Alps. Forts, museums and Art Nouveau villas with their parks are the backdrop to some wonderful tracks. Panoramic sites with 360 degree views across the province, such as Forte di Orino, are opportunities to admire most of the area’s lakes, the Alps, the Apennines and Milan’s skyscraper skyline. It is an ideal area for cycling for both families and more expert cyclists.
