Lake Varese, Passo Cuvignone, San Martino

From Lake Varese the route begins by climbing up through the province to the Passo del Cuvignone world championships ascent before descending past Arcumeggia, the famous painted village. At the valley bottom it starts climbing once again to Mount San Martino before returning to the route and continuing in the direction of Brinzio and then back to Varese along the narrow valley which passes through Bordo della Rasa and the Olona springs. From the city centre we return to the lake, our starting point.
