Medio Olona and the RTO Park Lombards

The route runs through the UNESCO sites of the Monastero di Torba and the Castelseprio Archaeological Park. It then crosses through woods for about ten km, passing Torrente Tenore several times as well as farmsteads and stables on the Caronno Corbellaro hill, with breathtaking views over Campo dei Fiori, Seminario di Venegono, and a majestic oak tree regarded as a natural monument. The return journey is along secondary roads to Gornate Superiore and Castiglione Olona, known as ‘a Tuscan island in Lombardy’. The Olona cycle path on the former Valmorea railway track then returns to Monastero di Torba.
