Piambello Explorer

Starting from Porto Ceresio, the route continues to the top of Mount Piambello, crossing the Cadorna Line military road. From the highest point, the views range over Lake Lugano and Lake Maggiore and, on the clearest days, the Apennines and Milan’s skyline are visible too.
After descending to Boarezzo to visit its Alpine village finds, we pass the statue of the Madonna degli Alpini before reaching Grottino di Ardena for a lunch break.
Having recharged our batteries, the route climbs Punta Paradiso, which offers one of the most beautiful views over Lake Lugano, before returning to Porto Ceresio.
