The Garden City

From Piazza Montegrappa in Varese city centre we continue to its most panoramic point, a veritable belvedere below the Schiapparelli Observatory which gives us views ranging across the Alps and Apennines, the whole of the Ticino valley and the great lakes to the south of the province. On clear days you can see Milan’s first skyscrapers. From here you can see why Varese is known as the Garden City.
