From the Port to the San Clemente Belvedere

Laveno Mombello is one of the most enchanting villages on Lake Maggiore. From its pier, the route crosses pathways, peat marshes, and low-traffic roads to Santuario di San Clemente, dating back to the 13th century. Set on the slopes of Mount Sangiano it features one of the lake’s most spectacular terraces. On the way back, we take the route along Torrente Boesio. Back in Laveno, an option is to take the cable car to Sasso del Ferro, a panoramic take-off point for paragliders and hang gliders and the bolder amongst us can ride downhill.
